Who we are
HomeData.ie is a website that publishes planning data for Ireland and sells a pre-planning report. It is run by Maxim Panych, sole trader, trading as HomeData.ie, Venture Hub, 136 Capel Street, Dublin, D01 T2C9, Ireland. You can contact us at hello@homedata.ie.
What we collect
- Visits. We use Rybbit, a privacy-friendly analytics service. We have set it up without session recordings and without storing IP addresses, and it does not track you across sites. We see page views, where visitors came from, device type and general location, not who you are.
- Orders. If you buy a report we collect your email address, the address you want checked, any note you type about your project, and what you bought. Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Address suggestions. When you type an address on the order form, the text you type (three or more characters) is sent through our server to Geoapify to suggest matching addresses. Geoapify sees the text and our server's address, not yours.
- Messages. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply.
Why we use it
To deliver the report you paid for, to send the receipt and the report by email, to answer questions, to prevent fraud, and to meet tax and accounting rules. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running the site safely, and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run the site: Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Cloudflare for hosting and report storage, Geoapify for address suggestions, and Supabase for our database. They process data for us under their own data protection terms. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Your finished report (a PDF that contains the address you gave us and any note you typed) is stored in the European Union and deleted automatically after 90 days. It is also emailed to you through Resend, whose servers are in Ireland. Stripe keeps payment records under its own policy and for the period tax law requires. Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with your question. You can ask us to delete your report and details sooner by emailing hello@homedata.ie.
Planning application data
Planning applications are public records published by councils. We republish them under the Creative Commons Attribution licence. We do not publish applicant names, and we remove descriptions that might name a person. If a record about you or your property should not be shown, use the “Request removal” link on that page or email us, and we will remove it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy. Email hello@homedata.ie. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
